PROJECT OVERVIEW

Niicaz is a Loyalty Program that offers advantages and rewards for shopping mall customers. Go shopping at a mall, collect your invoices, scan the QR Code using the app and earn Niicaz (a coin inside the app). The best part comes later, when the user trades Niicaz for thousands of incredible rewards without spending any money on it.

THE PROCESS

In this project, our product designers team started by collecting informations from the business perspective. Then, we have defined the design challenges, raised hypothesis and explored ideas to develop a fun and easy to use interface for the end users. This was the process we followed:

- Kickoff Meeting with stakeholders

- Research & Benchmarking

- Sketches

- User Flows & Wireframes

- UI Design

- Prototype

RESEARCH & BENCHMARKING

To better understand the market, and the competitors within it, we first conducted an industry benchmark on features, design styles and channels. We had to understand and list all the business requirements to then translate it into features inside the app. We then collected all this features and started improving them, to begin the design of a simple and easy application.

USER FLOWS

In this phase, information architecture is where we define the paths the user can take throughout the app, the whole navigation and features supported by it.

So, we had to understand how the interaction between customer and shopping stores was going to work and how the stores could validate the customer coupon. We understood that two interfaces were needed for this interaction between the two parts (customers/stores) so we started connecting the dots. The customers would use the mobile app to scan the QR codes on their receipts, earn niicaz (a coin inside the app) and buy coupons. The stores would then validate the coupons through another platform dedicated to products and coupon management.

Here was where we started the foundation of what we have conceived on the information architecture for the customer mobile app. Sketches on the board!
